The Sporting Globe® is a hospitality and sports entertainment brand with a mission to be Australia's most loved sports Bar and Grill. We have a 4 Pines microbrewery on-site, which, combined with our state-of-the-art fit-out situated right on Darling Harbour, makes us the ultimate sport and beer lovers paradise!
 
 We are looking for a hard-working and vibrant Function Coordinator to join our team at King Street Wharf!

Your key responsibilities will include:
 
 
  • Spreading the love of good beer and sport!
  • Co-ordinating a range of functions such as corporate conferences, birthday parties, team awards nights etc
  • Efficiently and effectively managing event operations with run sheets, room layouts
  • Working closely with the event and venue managers
  • Liaising with all staff to successfully execute events to the clients’ needs
  • Assisting in the successful execution of events such as sportsman & trivia nights as well as major activations and local area marketing
  • Driving our internal loyalty program
  • Building strong relationships with repeat business by creating memorable events
  • Providing and receiving feedback
 
 
To be successful in this role, you will have:
 
 
 
  • Demonstrated experience in the function/events environments
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Display a genuine passion and flair for the industry
  • Previous exposure in fast-paced, high volume venues preferred
  • The ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining organisation, motivation and efficiency
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • All NSW RSA and COVID vaccine requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and passion for beer and sport are a bonus!
