The Green Edit is delighted to announce a beautiful collaboration with Indigenous fashion designer Lyn-Al Young and her mother, artist Judith Young to help raise awareness for our endangered native and beloved Koala. Our Koala population is being considered for official status as endangered after last summer’s bushfire disaster and ongoing habitat destruction. As a keen supporter of Australian art, bush heritage and wildlife, Cathy Tolpigin, founder of The Green Edit, met with Lyn-Al Young and Judith Young to bring to life the production of a beautiful and limited edition Koala artwork – using traditional burning and watercolour techniques - eco-printed on a GOTS certified organic cotton T-shirt that is ethically and sustainably made, to raise funds for charity. All profits from the Koala Tee will be distributed across two organisations that this collaboration is passionate about. Ahead of the imminent bush fire season, the Koala Tee initiative will support The Koala Hospital at Port Macquarie, who treat and rehabilitate orphaned, sick and injured koalas. The Limited edition Tees can be pre-ordered between 10th - 25th November with a shipping date of 8th December for $59. 100% of profits go to The Koala Hospital Port Macquarie and Lord Somers Camp and Powerhouse.
