We are looking for an ambitious and positive Online Marker to join the team at Fitness Institute. Our current team of assessors is based in Townsville, Canberra and Sydney and we are looking at bringing a Sydney assessor to the team.  Our students are enrolled all over Australia.
 
Applicants will be able to work from home from within Australia provided they have a secure and modern working station to complete their work (Desktop or laptop computer with 2 Full HD screens and a high speed internet connection of at least 25Mbps is required).

Typical work hours are to be expected and you will need to be available to answer support phone calls from our students using our VOIP telephone system. Calls would be transferred to you from our headquarters staff or Virtual Receptionist. Flexibility for your working hours could be negotiated between 8am and 7pm AEST/AEDT to allow you to get in your Gym session or coaching throughout the day!!

Desirable Experience / Selection Criteria
 

  • Current Industry Experience and Registration as a Personal Trainer or Sports Scientist (Eg. ESSA, Fitness Australia, FitRec, Physical Recreation Australia).
  • History and experience as a Personal Trainer with a variety of clients.
  • Current Qualifications to be able to teach the courses:
  • SIS30315 – Certificate III in Fitness.
  • SIS40215 – Certificate IV in Fitness.
  • SIS50215 – Diploma of Fitness.
  • Note that now a Diploma of Fitness, Bachelor of Sports Science or Exercise Physiology Degree is now required to teach or assess the Certificate IV in Fitness. A Diploma of Fitness is preferred.
  • TAE40116 – Trainer and Assessor.
  • HLTAID009,010,011 - First Aid Skillsets
  • Willingness to do outreach and talk to School Careers Advisors, sporting clubs, shops and gyms to gain more members.
  • Willingness to consider teaching Face to Face courses and assist in finding partner gyms to work with in Sydney
  • VET Industry Experience Desirable.
  • VET Training Management Systems and AVETMISS data entry experience desirable.
  • Assisting with compliance for the RTO Standards for 2015, moderations and validations.

  • Business experience
  • Group Fitness experience
  • Personal Training
  • Lecturing experience
  • Marking experience
  • Experience working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work to set KPIs and standards.

  • Group Exercise Leader Skillset Qualification
  • Certificate IV in Weight Management

The position would start with a mix of assessing our online students as well as providing phone & video conferencing support to our online and VIP Students.
 
Please advise your availability for this job. Desired hours would be flexible on some afternoons to cater for our students who may not be available from 9am - 5pm. At this stage, we are looking for approximately 15 - 25 hours per week.
