ROLE SUMMARY
 
The IRONMAN Group develop, own and manage mass participation sporting events and is the world’s largest running, triathlon and mountain biking events company. The IRONMAN Group in Oceania has a diverse portfolio of events across a range of endurance categories, targeting over 180,000 athletes annually across 27 events.
 
Working within the IRONMAN Oceania Team, you will lead the development and execution of innovative marketing & promotional plans to help drive entries of participant numbers and increase the profile of your portfolio of events.
 
You will also oversee the delivery of IRONMAN Athlete Development Programs that help drive loyalty and registrations, including TriClub Program, First Timer Programs, Women for Tri and All World Athlete (AWA) Program as well as being responsible for developing a CRM strategy for your portfolio of events that builds an informed, engaged and loyal customer base.
 
Event Portfolio
 

  • All IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events in Oceania
  • Other new events acquired or developed in the region
 
 
DESRIED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Successful track record with developing marketing strategy and executing end-to-end campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience with CRM and loyalty marketing 
  • Strategic thinker with hands on experience
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and communication skills (written &verbal)
  • Financial acumen to engage in budget planning and management.
  • Energetic, personable and love being part of a team.
  • Tertiary Marketing qualification, with a minimum of two years marketing experience.
  • Experience and / or an interest in sports, fitness or tourism, would be an advantage
  • Any personal experience with IRONMAN events would be very well regarded
  • Must be willing and able to travel to multiple times throughout the year
