ABOUT THE INTERMEDIA GROUP
 
The Intermedia Group is an Australian publishing, event management and leading B2B media company based in Glebe, with brands operating in diverse sectors including hospitality, beauty and wellness, retail, aged care, financial, government and many others.

 
THE OPPORTUNITY
 
We have an exciting newly created position for an Events and Marketing specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.  The Events and Marketing Executive will be responsible for operational and marketing elements to ensure the successful delivery of the annual events calendar.  This includes working to event timelines, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining event websites and assisting with marketing tasks where requested.  The range of events includes face to face and virtual conferences, exhibitions, awards and other projects as they arise.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Work to the critical timelines including key operations and marketing deadlines.
  • Communicate with all external event stakeholders including venue staff, suppliers, sponsors, partners and registrants.
  • Update the online registration system (Events Air) to build registration sites, assist with online registrations, maintain databases and assist with financial reporting.
  • Maintain all event websites (Wordpress) with up to date information
  • Assist with virtual event delivery as necessary
  • Develop social assets and other marketing collateral to support marketing plans
  • Maintain social media accounts inclusive of content and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on post event surveys
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager on a daily basis
  • Draft copy for press releases, email marketing campaigns and websites.
  • Provide a high level of customer services to visitors, exhibitors, sponsors, supplier and other external stakeholders.
 
 
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
 
  • Attitude: must display a ‘can do’ attitude with a keen interest in learning and development
  • Digital skills: high level of proficiency in emerging and traditional digital platforms including knowledge of EventsAir, Wordpress, Hubspot, and Canva.
  • Initiative: shows independence, initiative, and ability for self-direction
  • Time management: ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
 
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of EventsAir
  • A tertiary qualification in event management, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
  • Strong written and oral language/communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Legally able to work in Australia
