A truly exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Dietitian (APD) with a minimum of 5-7 years' food industry experience to join Sanitarium's Nutrition Insights team working with some of Australia's best-known food brands.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and hands-on Senior Accredited Practising Dietitian, well versed in the provision of evidence-based scientific substantiation, the identification of nutrition opportunities for new products and the confidence to handle a range of products and responsibilities.
 
The role is a full-time permanent position working with Weet Bix and the portfolio of Weet Bix brands and includes the following key tasks and responsibilities:
 

  • Engagement with R&D for new products and/or product renovation
  • Engagement with marketing plus consumer insights on nutrition content and messaging that is evidence-based
  • Development of scientifically substantiated nutrition messages for brand communications
  • Reviewing nutrition-based web content and articles for the public
  • Planning and execution of Health Care Professional programs - as needed
  • Liaising with Regulatory teams for product compliance
  • Scanning the literature for new insights, opportunities and nutrition trends
  • Representing Sanitarium at professional forums and, if required, in the media
  • Responding to food and nutrition related enquiries from consumers and health professionals
To be successful in this role, you will have:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, with membership or eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia (DA) and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
  • Experience working with food regulations in Australia/ New Zealand
  • Extensive experience in the food industry
  • Great communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, enthusiastic outlook, and a growth mindset.
