We are looking for a Logistics Officer to join our Operations team in a supportive team environment. This is a permanent full-time role (Monday to Friday), based in Belrose.
 
This is a key role in the Operations team, that partners directly with Commercial Sales. You will lead the logistics function for Nature's Care and help the business deliver against its targets, KPIs and objectives.
 
You will report into and work with collaborative leaders that are invested in the growth of the team and helping you be the best that you can be.
 
Key activities:
 

  • Schedule and manage all customer deliveries including sea, air, and land transport.
  • Liaise directly with all freight forwarders to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents for inventory and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Finished Goods team to manage sales order picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Daily issuing of incoming and outgoing documents to relevant departments for processing.
  • Communicate clearly to business partners across Operations, Finance and Sales and have a keen eye for attention to detail with all tasks.
  • Manage delivery requirements of customers in terms of allocated time slots, pallet type or other. Help investigate and remedy any issues raised by customers relating to this.
  • Assist periodic cycle and stock counts to ensure inventory and master data is consistently accurate.
  • Support business projects as required on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Follow established company policies as outlined in the employee book.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Controls.
  • Comply with personal hygiene requirements, GMP, and all safety regulations.
  • Report any non-conformity within scope of responsibilities.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
 
  • Relevant experience within warehousing, logistics, supply chain or FMCG environment
  • A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of OH&S, GMP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office PC applications including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in using ERP system
