For the first time, the team behind Blue Mountains Stargazing is bringing its guided astronomy experience into the heart of the city, with a new series of stargazing events launching at Centennial Parklands.
Set against the open green expanse of Centennial Park, this experience turns a familiar Sydney landmark into something entirely different after dark.
At the centre of it all is a Sydney-exclusive eyepiece, designed to reveal thousands of celestial objects in vivid colour and striking clarity, far beyond what the naked eye can pick up.
Led by a professional astronomer each session, which is the perfect interplay of science and storytelling, guides guests through:
- Planets and their defining features
- Star clusters scattered across the Southern Sky
- Distant galaxies, brought into view in remarkable detail
While this marks a first for Centennial Park,
Blue Mountains Stargazing has already built a strong presence across some of Australia’s most naturally clear night skies, with experiences currently also run in The Blue Mountains, Jervis Bay, Byron Bay and Canberra, with each location bringing a different vantage point, shaped by landscape and light conditions.
