Did you know almost half of Australians don't know if cancer runs in their family? And with up to 10% of cancers being hereditary, Pink Hope is asking all of us to go bold this September with Bright Pink Lipstick Day. This September, women around Australia will pop on their pink lippy in support of Bright Pink Lipstick Day (BPLD), an initiative of preventative health charity Pink Hope. About BPLD and Pink Hope Now in its 10th year, BPLD aims to build awareness of hereditary health and raise funds to continue the vital work of the Pink Hope community team, who support women affected by breast and ovarian cancers. The major annual campaign encourages people from all over to go pink and #daretoshare to save lives... From phone support and online resources to private community groups and exclusive events, Pink Hope provides an understanding and supportive community for women who have recently been diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer or who have discovered they are at risk because of a gene mutation. By connecting them to trusted resources and a tight-knit community, these women are empowered to make informed choices that could lead to better health outcomes. How people can get involved:
