Brisbane-born period care brand Inoya has launched something truly special to help restore dignity for Australians who need it most. Until 14 December, Inoya has partnered with Share the Dignity for its annual Buy 1 Give 1 for Dignity campaign. For every Inoya sustainable reusable pad or period cup purchased during this time, the brand will donate one period product directly to Share the Dignity to support someone experiencing period poverty.

Australia continues to see thousands of women, girls and people who menstruate struggle to access basic period products. Share the Dignity works to change this, ensuring vulnerable Australians receive the essentials they need to live with dignity - and Inoya is stepping up to amplify that impact.

Founded by public health advocate and mum, Helena Uhm, Inoya is on a mission to change period care for good. The brand was born after Helena’s own experience with irritation from conventional products and has since become a leader in toxin-free, transparent and sustainable menstrual care. Inoya’s range includes reusable organic cotton pads and panty liners, period cups, sterilising cups and starter bundles, all made with fewer, safer ingredients and produced ethically through social enterprises that support disadvantaged women.

Their commitment to clean, transparent period care comes at a crucial time, following a recent Columbia University and Michigan State University study revealing toxic metals including lead, arsenic and mercury in popular tampon brands. With inconsistent regulation across menstrual products in Australia, Inoya is advocating for stronger standards and mandatory ingredient disclosure for all products on the market.

Period poverty impacts education, health, well-being and day-to-day dignity. By choosing Inoya’s eco-friendly, reusable alternatives, your purchase makes a double impact: supporting your own health while ensuring someone else has access to safe, sustainable period care. Helena says the campaign is a simple but powerful opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and to ensure women know exactly what they’re putting into their bodies.

If you’ve been considering making the switch to sustainable period care- or stock up for your teenager- now is the ideal time. Your choice directly supports someone doing it tough and contributes to a future where menstrual products in Australia are safer, more transparent and more tightly regulated.
