Local mum, Kerrie Otto de Grancy, Co-Founder of Evolve Yourself Institute® is a finalist for the NSW/ACT coach of the year AusMumpreneur awards.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Driven by purpose beyond self, Kerrie is co-founder to Evolve Yourself Institute (EYI). EYI provides self-care and wellbeing solutions for those professions who need it the most - nurses, midwives and front line services.

Kerrie brings a new meaning to the word ‘inspirational'. She knows what it takes to go from losing to winning on a global scale. She has faced and scaled the trials of entrepreneurship and personal challenge, including fighting for the survival of her premature baby, international sportsmanship and now as the successful co-founder of Evolve Yourself Institute – a leading organisation bringing self-care and wellness programs to front line workers and corporate professionals. She has been focused on nurturing lives and improving mental health since 2015.

Kerrie Otto de Grancy says “Inspiration for EYI came from my own personal experiences - the 130 days I spent in hospital by my daughters’ side, the effects that abuse, domestic violence, divorce, relatives with mental health issues, and friend’s suicides had on my life. And more specifically, how self-awareness through mindfulness practices coupled with self-care strategies supported my own personal wellbeing and success, regardless of what has happened to me or my current circumstance.

The thought was simple - If I/we benefited from these, surely others would too?

There is market requirement for solutions and employer duty of care for preventative measures for mental health and general stress. We identified an unmet demand for self-care and wellbeing solutions for those in professions who need it the most - Nurses, Midwives and Frontline services. We now provide this solution to these professions.”

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Kerrie Otto de Grancy explains, “I love being able to integrate my work love within the love of my family. That my children get to meet a woman of intention and a woman designing her life according to her values.

It can be challenging to be a successful businesswoman whilst raising a family and Kerrie Otto de Grancy gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise. “Prioritise your family. Equip yourself with healthy habits and a toolkit to support your wellbeing; emotional, mental, physical, spiritual. You will need it.

Good luck Kerrie!

The winners of the 2021 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced online this September.
