Wellness means something different depending on what's happening in your life. Right now, you might be looking for answers around hormones, you might be trying to build healthier habits after years of starting over, or perhaps your nervous system has been running on empty for longer than you'd like to admit. There’s no shortage of wellness retreats, but it’s often hard to find one that focuses specifically on whatever you might need in this season of your life. Instead of offering one retreat that tries to cover everything, Lorna Jane Clarkson has reimagined one of Byron Bay's best-known wellness destinations, to bring together a series of expert-led programs, each centred around a different area of wellbeing, so you can choose the one that feels most relevant to where you're at right now. Bookings have now opened for the first retreat season at SOMA Lorna Jane, with the inaugural programs beginning in September. One of the first on the calendar is Rewire Your Habits, led by behaviour change expert Dr Gina Cleo. Over four days, you'll explore why habits are so difficult to break, what neuroscience tells us about lasting behaviour change and how to create routines that are realistic enough to stick long after you return home. Running on empty? Nervous System Reset with Tracy Whitton takes a closer look at the vagus nerve and the science behind nervous system regulation, giving you practical tools to better understand how your body responds to stress and how to support it. Women's health is another major focus throughout the season. Hormonal Vitality, led by Dr Keri Krieger and Aiko Neligan, explores hormonal wellbeing through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, alongside Yin Yoga, somatic movement and sound healing. Later in the year, The Longevity Code with Shannon McNeill takes a closer look at the science of healthy ageing for women, combining personalised consultations with evidence-based guidance to help you better understand your health in the years ahead. If you're looking for a broader wellbeing reset, the Active Living Retreat brings together movement, nutrition and mindset, while Reset. Realign. Return to Yourself., hosted by Patty Perlman, blends yoga philosophy, journalling and guided conversations for anyone wanting the space to slow down, reflect and gain clarity about what's next. Whichever program you choose, the rhythm of each day remains much the same. Mornings begin with movement before giving way to workshops, nourishing meals and time to enjoy the lush property grounds. Set across 22 acres in Byron Bay's hinterland, SOMA Lorna Jane features walking trails, a bathhouse, sauna, saltwater pool, two wellness domes and just 10 guest suites, creating a more intimate experience than many larger wellness destinations. After almost four decades encouraging women to prioritise their wellbeing through the Lorna Jane brand, Clarkson says SOMA Lorna Jane is about giving women the time, space and expert guidance to put that knowledge into practice. Rather than returning home with a notebook full of ideas, the goal is to leave with practical strategies that fit into everyday life. Bookings for the September 2026 retreat season are now open, with programs running through until November and a 10% discount available for bookings up until July 31st.
