Using a fermentation method similar to brewing beer, Uluu combines seaweed and saltwater microbes to create a natural material called PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate). The result behaves like plastic but here’s the kicker- it’s completely biodegradable, free from fossil fuels, microplastic shedding and toxic residue! Unlike conventional plastics that harm ecosystems, Uluu materials actively help restore them. Farming the seaweed removes CO₂ from the atmosphere and absorbs pollutants from the ocean, so every button is literally helping clean up the planet!
