Ocean Lovers Festival  is Australia’s LARGEST cultural and science celebration for the Ocean.
The March Festival is an annual celebration for the ocean, showcasing some of the latest innovations, science, state-of-the-art technology and cool ideas for helping the ocean.
Dive In and discover workshops, talks, tours, markets art, music, food & beach activities and take a deeper dive of discovery into our blue backyard to immerse, and explore Sydney’s wonderous blue harbour heart, waterways and coast.

WHY A FESTIVAL?​
 

• The Ocean Lovers Festival exists to bridge a critical gap in the climate conversation where the ocean, our planet’s life support system, is too often overlooked. Although one in every two breaths we take comes from the ocean, there remains a striking lack of ocean literacy and awareness about its vital role in regulating climate and sustaining life.
• Sydney, as a global ocean capital and coastal city deeply connected to the sea, provides the perfect stage for this movement.
• The Festival unites community, science, business, and culture to celebrate the ocean while showcasing solutions that empower people to take tangible steps toward change. Acting as a voice for the ocean, it creates a platform where awareness meets action, ensuring the ocean is given the prominence it deserves in building a sustainable future.
