In the Nia practice, we believe that movement isn’t supposed to be punishment - it’s meant to satisfy the deep human need for joy.
Yes, you'll get stronger, more flexible, more mobile, confident and agile. These are all real and highly beneficial side effects. But the real reason you’ll keep coming back? Because it feels good.
Nia blends martial arts, dance and healing arts to create strength, flexibility and agility. It's an ideal complement to weights, running and swimming.
Expect: martial arts influence from tae kwon do and aikido, healing arts elements from yoga and tai chi, excellent music and a dance rhythm to tie it all together. This class is specifically designed for masculine, yang energy and with a male audience in mind.
With Nia you'll experience an integrated practice that gives your more freedom of movement in your daily life, a complement to the more linear exercises like weights and running, to give you mobility and unleash a deeper strength from within to enhance longevity and provide you a practice that helps you thrive, not just survive.
This is an adults only class 18+ (yes we're holding it at the seniors centre, but this is a powerful practice, whilst adapatable to all fitness levels, I recommend this as an add-on to people with an existing health and fitness routine).
