8 Sober Activities Wellness Lovers Can Enjoy Solo or With Mates This Winter in Sydney

If you’ve made the decision to cut back on alcohol or ditch the bottles entirely for your health this Dry July you might be in need of some ideas to get out and about and soak up the best Sydney has to offer without the booze in hand. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of activities you can enjoy solo or with mates that comes with the added benefit of getting home at a reasonable hour to bundle up for a good night’s rest and wake up the next day feeling fab. We’ll raise our glass of kombucha to that!

Master the art of creating zero alc cocktails
Book in for a fun mocktail making masterclass with mixologists at Sydney’s first zero alcohol distillery Seadrift Distillery who distils from fresh cut botanicals that are grown on local NSW farms and locally foraged sea kelp. Learn how to make three non-alcoholic cocktails, prepare cocktail ingredients, and syrups along with tips and tricks of the bartender! Classes run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week and you can book in here. Whilst you’re at it you can also experience So-Bar Sydney's only fully non-alcoholic bar to try Seadrift’s our curated range of non-alcoholic spirits, non-alcoholic beers and non-alcoholic sparkling wines.

Clubbing, but make it conscious
So you’ve given up the grog, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t enjoy dancing the night away! Shake it out with Buddha Bar, serving up a conscious nightlife experience that's drug and alchohol free involving ecstatic dance, immersive sound healing, and of course connecting with other like-minded wellness lovers. Click here for upcoming event dates and deets!

Try your hand at pottery

For something a little bit different, play with clay at Sydney’s eco-friendly pottery studio, Clayground! Get in touch with your inner child, move out of your head and practice presence by crafting something with your own two hands in a light filled space draped with lush greenery to give you the ultimate creative escape. Grab a friend and take advantage of one of their classes or workshops — you never know, it might just be your favourite new hobby!

Treat yo self
Indulge in an hour (or three!) of self-care and relaxation with your bestie at one of Sydney’s many wellness havens.
