Are you ready to lead the education and influence our future clinical nutritionists? Have you considered it is time to bring your extensive clinical and academic theoretical knowledge to bear in leading a passionate Nutrition team in delivering exceptional learning experiences? Are you excited by the opportunity of defining and driving a field-leading education curriculum in Nutrition and Natural Health? 
 
This is your opportunity to lead our passionate Nutrition team to deliver exceptional learning experiences for our Nutrition students – across academic theories and concepts, and then put into practice as clinical skills with experience within our public clinics. Our students are the future practitioners of the industry – this is a key opportunity to have an influence in shaping the future of clinical nutritionists.
 
This academic leadership opportunity has four primary objectives:
 

  • Guiding and overseeing course planning, design, development/improvement, and delivery of the Nutrition curriculum in a cutting edge blended learning environment.
  • Maximising the quality of teaching, course materials and academic administrative functions.
  • Ensuring a high level of academic integrity, with adherence to academic policies, and addressing student concerns whilst supporting academic success.
  • Management of academic operations, being a collaborative member of the Academic Leadership Team.
  • This role is being offered on a permanent, full time basis and can be located at any of our campuses around Australia.
About you
 
You are passionate about this industry. You have a strong understanding of nutrition and can see the bigger picture and where it’s moving. As a leader you are engaging, visible and present. You believe in leading from the front and coaching and mentoring to develop your team around you.
 
You have real world Nutrition experience in a clinical environment and have had exposure to the Higher Education sector and understand the logistics of running an academic team. You can initiate and nurture collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders, from colleagues, industry and the wider community.
 
The following qualifications and experience will support your success in this role:
 
  • Experience teaching Nutrition at a tertiary level.
  • Experience in the development and review of curriculum and assessment materials at Bachelor level (Nutrition curriculum experience is preferred).
  • Leadership experience (academic leadership experience will be highly regarded).
  • Clinic experience.
  • Current membership of an appropriate professional association.
  • Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (desirable).
  • PhD in Health, Science or Education (with a Nutrition focus) (desirable).
  • Industry engagement through work and professional/association activities.
