Sydney’s favourite gluten free cookie to honour ANZAC day has made a comeback! If you love ANZAC biscuits but have never found a gluten-free version you actually like then you’re in luck! Gluten free, artisan bakery Wholegreen Bakery’s ANZAC cookies are now available for purchase up until this Sunday (28th April). ‘These gluten-free vegan ANZAC biscuits are a twist on the traditional ANZAC biscuit, which is a classic Australian sweet treat with historical significance. ANZAC biscuits were originally made by Australian and New Zealand women during World War I and were sent to soldiers overseas because the ingredients didn’t spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during transportation.’ You can get your hands on these tasty morsels at one of Wholegreen’s three Sydney locations in Alexandria, the CBD, or Waverly. If you want to sink your teeth into one on ANZAC day itself the Waverly store will be open on the public holiday from 8-3pm. Be quick- these bad boys are popular and will go quick!
