Community Moves is a health and fitness service that caters specifically to over 50s. We deliver specialised group exercise and personal training solutions that help our clients improve the way they move, the way the feel, and as a result, improve their quality of life.
 
Community Moves has been in operation for just over 3 years (1 of which was COVID 2020) and has grown steadily every year. We won the Local Business Award for Outstanding Fitness Services last year and have been nominated again this year.
 
We have a vision to improve the lives of older Australians and eventually help enough people to make a significant dent in the health system.
 
About the role
 
Community Moves Neutral Bay is looking for someone that is enthusiastic and driven to help people change their lives!
 
We have a part-time position available to help our team.
 
Key responsibilities and duties include -
 

• Design and deliver group exercise sessions
• Personal training and movement assessments
• Assistance running the studio, office admin, member communications and more.

Skills and Experience -
 

• Minimum Certificate III & IV in Fitness required. Experience working with older adults preferred but not essential.
• Experience delivering group exercise sessions
• Sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science
• Great communication skills and a driven enthusiasm to help people through health and fitness
• Familiar with fitness/gym facilities and has a passion for professional development
• Sales and marketing (social media) experience not essential but an advantage
• Great computer skills and understanding of systems and procedures
• Can work unsupervised
• Can take on responsibilities and work in high-pressure situations
