Sport Australia invests in national sporting organisations, including organisations for people with a disability, to champion the value of sport and encourage Australians of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities to get involved in sport. In addition to providing funding, Sport Australia is focused on improving the capability of sporting organisations to create an effective and sustainable national sport sector.
 
As the Director you will have overall operational responsibility for the Australian Sport Learning Centre (ASLC) and Sport Australia's online diagnostic tool, Game Plan. Managing a diverse team of specialists and workings closely with sector partners, you will ensure that the ASLC delivers high-quality online learning to build capability across the Australian sport sector.
 

• Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in product management, sports administration, learning and development or related field.
• Demonstrated senior level management experience, with a strong track record of achieving success in managing a team to deliver strategic objectives, in a diverse environment.
• Experience in national technology product design and implementation, particularly as it relates to professional development, membership and certification.
• Proven experience in complex stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and utilise industry data insights to identify key trends and priorities to inform development of organisational strategies and plans.

Position is based Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney and is a fixed term contract through until 31 December 2023.
 
 Whilst this current vacancy is for the term 1 July 2021- 31 December 2023, please note that an order of merit may be used to fill other opportunities, including longer term contracts or ongoing vacancies, should the opportunity arise within 12 months from the role being advertised
 
 
 
Salary range = $134,222 - $163,447 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.
