About the Role
 
The Better Food Distribution Co, distributor of Remedy Kombucha, Australia’s number 1 Kombucha, and other brilliant food and beverage brands like Oatly, Pana Organic, Proper Crisps and Alter Eco, is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our close-knit AR Team.
 
This is a part-time, permanent opportunity with up to 25 hours a week based in Sydney.
 
What do your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
 

• Using Xero and EzyCollect systems to facilitate payments from our clients
• Closely liaising with our Sales Reps regarding overdue accounts and accounts on credit hold to minimize defaults.
• Issuing monthly statements, invoices, and credits
• Daily Reconciliations
• Completing month end processes
• Proactively reaching out to clients to follow up payment and accounts
• Building relationships with our clients to understand their specific needs and how that fits with our Credit Policy.

About you
 
Ideally, you’ve already had exposure to an Accounts Receivable role and you’re keen to make your mark in a fast-paced, growing company.  In addition to this, you will have:
 

• High attention to detail and a methodical work style
• Basic accounting knowledge with exposure to different accounting platforms, including Xero.
• Excellent communication skills and phone manner
• Natural problem solver and a pro at finding creative solutions to issues that arise
• Personable working style where building relationships with your clients and wider team is effortless.
• Microsoft Suite capability with intermediate Excel skills
