The Role
 
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Dispatch Officer ensures the timely and efficient management of freight movement, inventory and general stores functions.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Liaise with transport companies for the pick-up and delivery of goods
• Work with the warehouse team to prepare orders for dispatch, including labelling of cartons and
• Update dispatch reports
• Obtain quotes from transport companies for urgent deliveries
• Investigate delivery issues and customer claims on short deliveries or damaged stock
• Help with promotional activities
• Replen stock when required
• Load and unload trucks
• MUST have undertaking of Chain of Responsibility

• Minimum 2 years dispatching and warehousing experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience liaising with transport companies
• Experience understanding lead times
• WMS experience
• Forklift License desirable
