Welcome! My name is Sonika and I invite you to join me in my new weekly morning Yin classes at a brand new studio location @Marouhome in Maroubra. In this class we will be incorporating gentle and calming breathing practices, whilst in the Yin poses, inviting the body into a deeper meditative space. Restoring the natural flow of 'prana' (life force energy) bringing the body back to its natural state of being. Yin yoga is suitable for all levels and works deeply into the connective tissues and major joints of the body through extended holds of the poses. Usually between 3 - 5 mins in each pose. Through these extended holds the body has more time to release tension stored in the body, restoring the Nervous System. During the class, you will have the option of using props for extra support, so you will be able to feel comfortable and at ease, allowing the body to go deep into each pose. By the end of the class, you will feel a deep sense of relaxation, bliss, and calmness. BENEFITS OF YIN:
