How much thought do you give to the fabrics you're wearing every day? We spend plenty of time looking at the ingredients in our skincare and the food we eat, but what about the clothes sitting directly against our skin for hours at a time? Australian brand Jaymes is encouraging women to take a closer look at their wardrobe, and to celebrate, it's giving one lucky person $1,000 to spend on their favourite bamboo pieces. You might remember Jaymes from our recent feature on its new bamboo activewear collection, which caught our attention for bringing a natural-fibre alternative to the world of crop tops and scrunch-bum bike shorts. The brand's range also includes bamboo underwear, sleepwear, loungewear and everyday wardrobe essentials. Jaymes is known for its buttery-soft bamboo underwear, with everything from everyday briefs and G-strings to seamless styles and fuller-coverage options. Breathable underwear can be a great choice for comfort, especially if you're prone to irritation or find synthetic fabrics leave you feeling hot and uncomfortable. Then there's the sleepwear and loungewear, including relaxed bamboo pants, long-sleeve tops and robes for those evenings when getting into something comfortable is the first thing on your mind. And of course, there's Jaymes' recently launched Move activewear collection, featuring bamboo-based crops and bike shorts with flattering details including high-rise waistbands and adjustable scrunch-bum styling. One of the things we appreciate about Jaymes is its approach to bamboo fabric. While bamboo is often promoted as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional textiles, not all bamboo fabrics are produced in the same way. Turning bamboo into a wearable fibre can involve chemical-intensive processing, so it's worth looking beyond the word 'bamboo' on the label. Jaymes uses Tanboocel® bamboo fibre, which the brand says is produced using a closed-loop manufacturing process that recovers and reuses processing chemicals. It also highlights OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, which means the certified textile has been tested for specified harmful substances. Knowing more about how a fabric is made and tested can help you make more informed choices about the clothes you wear, and now you could have $1,000 to put towards a wardrobe refresh. To enter, head to the Jaymes giveaway page and submit your email address and mobile number. That's it! Entries close on 5 November 2026, with the winner announced the same day. With $1,000 to spend across Jaymes' bamboo underwear, sleepwear, loungewear, activewear and everyday essentials, you could give your wardrobe a pretty epic refresh!
