Bondi born Lush eco ceramics studio Clayground is bringing its ClayCamp for kids back for the Spring school holidays, so you can book your kids into an activity to help teach them a new skill and provide a unique way of practising some creative mindfulness. ‘Perfect for kids aged 8-16, our school holiday ceramic classes provide young potters with the knowledge and skill to make their very own functional bowls and cups, encouraging creativity and originality.’ Being held on the Spring school holidays from 26th September – Friday 7th October, you can book in one or multiple two-hour workshops over the course of the two weeks which teach kids the basics of pottery, starting with hand building techniques and then wheel throwing. All pieces created can be taken home, with firing and glazing in the studio also available for an additional cost. With studios in Roseberry and Bondi, Clayground is a great form of active mindfulness catering to all ages and skill levels with classes, workshops, memberships, and events including ‘After School’ kids pottery classes. Both studios use ethical and sustainable products and materials, ClayGround has partnered with Carbon Neutral to plant 400 trees every year and a set a new sustainable standard for the industry.
