If you've spent any time down the longevity rabbit hole, there's a good chance you've come across Gary Brecka. Now the US human biologist and longevity personality is bringing his Ultimate Longevity Center concept to Australia and he's not starting small. A network of 50 locations is planned across the country, with the first Australian Ultimate Longevity Center set to open in Sydney's Double Bay in the first quarter of 2027. Australia will be the concept's first international market, with flagship locations also planned for Melbourne and Brisbane as the network rolls out nationally. So what exactly is an Ultimate Longevity Center? The concept brings health testing, personalised protocols and a huge line-up of recovery and wellness technologies together under one roof, with each centre divided into three areas: The Lab, The Playground and The Apothecary. The Lab is where you'll get a closer look at what's happening inside your body, with services including biomarker testing, genetic insights, hormone and metabolic assessments, body composition scans and consultations with clinicians. Then The Playground takes things from testing to treatment, bringing together a line-up of recovery, performance and longevity therapies in one space. Depending on the location, the recovery and performance offering includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy, dry sauna, cryotherapy, molecular hydrogen therapy, intermittent hypoxic training and vibration-based lymphatic drainage, among a number of other modalities. The Apothecary completes the concept with a curated range of supplements designed to complement members' individual programs. The centres have been developed by Sequel Brands in partnership with Brecka and US precision health platform Lifeforce, with the aim of taking services that have traditionally been scattered across specialist clinics, recovery studios and wellness centres and bringing them into one destination. For Brecka, the Australian expansion follows huge interest in the Ultimate Longevity Center model in the US, where hundreds of franchise territories have already been sold since franchise sales began earlier this year. The Australian rollout will be led by Ben and Marie Doyle, who will oversee Ultimate Longevity Center Australia and New Zealand through their Sydney-based property and investment company Fiducia. There are still plenty of details to come for the Double Bay location, including its exact opening date, membership pricing and the final line-up of services available locally but you can bet we’ll be keeping you updated! For now, we know Sydney will be first, with Double Bay targeted to open in the first quarter of 2027 before the concept begins its wider Australian expansion.
