Longevity has become one of wellness's biggest conversations, and now one of Australia's best-known ingestible beauty brands is getting involved.

The Beauty Chef has launched Longevity Ritual™, a new daily powder designed to support cellular energy, vitality and healthy ageing, bringing together more than 12 active ingredients spanning everything from NMN and resveratrol to probiotics, vitamin K2 and Panax ginseng.

At the centre of the formula is 250 mg of CellVive NMN®, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, an ingredient that has attracted plenty of attention in the longevity world over the past few years.

So, what exactly is it?

NMN is a compound naturally produced by the body from vitamin B3 and acts as a precursor to NAD+,  a coenzyme our cells need for energy production and a number of cellular processes. NAD+ levels naturally decline as we age, which has prompted growing interest in whether supplying the body with NMN could help support its own NAD+ production.

It's an exciting area of research, but also one that deserves some perspective. Human research into NMN and healthy ageing is still developing, and The Beauty Chef itself is careful to point out that NMN shouldn't be viewed as a magic anti-ageing pill.

What makes Longevity Ritual particularly interesting is that NMN isn't being asked to do all the heavy lifting.

The blueberry-flavoured powder pairs it with fermented resveratrol, pomegranate peel and vitamin C to help protect against free-radical damage, alongside Panax ginseng, traditionally used in Chinese medicine as a longevity tonic.

There's also MenaQ7™ vitamin K2 to support bone health, vitamin D3 for muscle health, silica to support skin structure, firmness and elasticity, and vitamin C to support collagen formation. Zinc has been included to support cognitive function, while activated vitamin B6 supports healthy mood balance.

And, naturally, The Beauty Chef hasn't forgotten the gut.

Bacillus coagulans has been added to support gut microbial diversity and digestive wellbeing, extending the gut-first philosophy the Australian brand has built its name around into its approach to ageing well.

Rather than focusing on one pathway or promising to turn back the biological clock, Longevity Ritual takes a broader view of longevity, supporting some of the systems that become increasingly important as we age,  from cellular energy and cognitive function to our bones, muscles, skin and gut.

The powder dissolves in water and is designed to be taken once daily, with each 90 g tub containing 30 serves.

Longevity Ritual™ is available now from The Beauty Chef for $89.
